Committed to providing year-round yoga instruction to her island community, where classes swell with summer visitors, Susan Littlefield created Block Island Yoga in 1996. Sue has initiated hundreds into the transformative experience of yoga by creating a welcoming atmosphere based on the Kripalu tradition of compassion and self-acceptance.
Block Island Yoga is dedicated to offering individuals permission to arrive exactly as they are and to begin their yoga practice with non-judgement, loving kindness and gratitude toward their bodies.Beginner/Gentle, Intermediate and All-Levels classes are offered year round on a weekly basis.
Classes are held at St. Andrews Parish Center on Spring St from April through November. During the winter months classes are held at the Old Harbor Meadow Community Center on Chapel St. When visiting Block Island check the Block Island Times Calendar section for any schedule changes or call 401-466-3161.
Drop –ins are always welcome.
